Day 2: Sacred Valley

Note: if you want to do this tour directly after your flight from Lima to Cusco, you'd have to take the first flight that day.

Arrival at your hotel in Cusco

Day 3: Machu Picchu

Start from Cusco: After being picked up from your hotel, you’ll head to the Ollantaytambo train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, you’ll be picked up by one of our team members to take the bus to the entrance and start your Machu Picchu tour.* Afterwards, you’ll have time to eat lunch, we accompany you to the train station and you return to Ollantaytambo. There, our driver awaits you to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Start from Aguas Calientes: You’ll take the train the afternoon on the day before the tour, spend the night in Aguas Calientes and do the tour the following day. The remaining itinerary is the same as explained above.

Note: You have the flexibility to choose your preferred entrance time (contact us) and we’ll assist you in creating the best itinerary.

*if you want to hike Huayna Picchu or MP Mountain, we recommend staying the night in Aguas Calientes so you have more time as the entrance must be between 6-7 am.

Day 4: Rainbow Mountain

Day 5: Humantay Lake

Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco

6:30 am

Breakfast in local restaurant. Then, we'll drive for another 30 minutes before we start the hike.

8:15 am

Visit of the Humantay Lake, diverse lookouts and a break with tea and snacks. We stay for around 1 hour without any crowds around.

11:30 am

Lunch in local restaurant

3:00 pm

Arrival in Cusco, drop-off at your hotel and end of the Humantay Lake tour

Reservation & Cancellation Terms

Terms of Reservation

Minimum 1 week before, minimum 2 people and the minimum age is 12 years.
Changes or upgrades are subject to 1.) availability and 2.) an extra charge as stated in our Terms and conditions.
It is possible that the Palccoyo community, as well as the alpaca, are not available due to reasons beyond our control and we don’t assume any liability for this.
Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu (comparison here):
- In case you opt to add one of the two hikes, please contact us first via Whatsapp +51965027736 or info@exploor.pe to check availabilities. The entrance fee for each is $60 and will be added automatically when you choose the preferred option in the dropdown above.

Terms of Cancellation

You can choose between 2 options that will affect the refund policy:

Option 1: We purchase the tickets within 5 days prior to the start of the tour. You can receive a 95% refund if you cancel before we purchase them. Once the tickets are purchased, the fees below apply.

Option 2: We purchase train & entrance tickets as soon as you book to guarantee the best tickets. You receive a partial refund when you cancel.

Cancellation fees p. person: $95 (for train, bus and entrance tickets already purchased) + 5% administrative fee. The remaining amount will be refunded within 3 working days.
Postponement fees p. person: cost of postponing tickets (train, entrance & bus) + 5% administrative fee.
If you cancel 3 days or less before the start of the tour, there won’t be any refunds.
We don’t issue refunds in case of delayed flights, inconveniences with train schedules, bad weather or sudden strikes that affect the tour.

"Upon arrival, airport pick up was there waiting for us, group chat was set up a day before giving us information about the weather, what to pack for the trip, what time is the pick up etc. All the arrangements were seamless, we can literally switch off our brain, don’t have to think and worry because everything is well taken care of. Not to mention Exploor Peru offers very flexible itinerary where we can choose which day to do which tour even though we booked the 4 days package. The pick up for all the tours was super early but it’s all worth it because we always arrive before the big crowds come in!"

Palccoyo	Vinicunca

3:30 am: Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. 2 hours later, we’ll have breakfast.	3:00 am: Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. 2 hours, later we’ll have breakfast.
7:00 am: Stop for taking photos of alpacas.	6:00 am: Briefing and beginning of the hike.
07:45 am: Beginning of the 45 to 60-minute hike where you’ll see 3 rainbow mountains. If the community allows it, we’ll have an alpaca or a llama accompanying us.	9:10 am: Arrival on the top of the rainbow mountain and a break with tea and local snacks. Red valley hike depends on accessibility (currently closed).
11:45 am: Lunch in local restaurant.	12:30 pm: Lunch in local restaurant.
