The expansive, dense jungles, flowing rivers and variety of plant and animal species that inhabit the Peruvian Amazon jungle are its distinguishing features.

Weather: The Peruvian Amazon rainforest has two different seasons that have a significant impact on your trip. The dry season lasts from May to October and is marked by warm temperatures of 23 – 33°C (73 – 91°F) during the day, and 19 – 23°C (66 – 73°F) at night.

The rainy season, which runs from November through April is characterized by rivers swell, flooding vast stretches of the jungle and temperatures of 24 – 30°C (75 – 86°F) during daytime and 20 – 23°C (68 – 73°F) at night.

 

Altitude: The Amazon jungle is located at about 145 m (475 ft) above sea level.
