Arrive in Ecuador and take a morning flight to the Galapagos Islands (in case you arrive the day prior, we can include the hotel overnight stay in Quito for you). Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your local naturalist guide and start your first day exploring this world-famous archipelago. Activities may include snorkeling, island hiking and visits to wildlife sanctuaries.

Start your day at the historic Post Office Barrel, a 1793 whaling tradition still alive today, you might even deliver a postcard yourself. Then, hike rugged trails and snorkel off the beach alongside playful sea lions.

In the afternoon, visit Punta Cormorant, home to a flamingo-filled lagoon and a white-sand beach where green turtles nest. Wrap up with a snorkel at Devil’s Crown, a sunken volcanic crater and one of the best underwater spots in the Galapagos.

Your last morning in the Galapagos begins with a moment of awe, walking among the giant tortoises of Santa Cruz. In this misty highland sanctuary, these iconic 600-pound creatures roam freely through the grasslands. 

As you stroll beside them, watch for Darwin’s finches and other unique highland species. It’s a peaceful and unforgettable farewell to the Enchanted Islands.

After the visit, we transfer to Baltra Airport for your flight to Quito, followed by your connection to Lima. Afterwards, we continue to the magical city of Cusco, your gateway to the Andes and the Sacred Valley.

Begin your journey through the Andes with a guided tour of the Sacred Valley. Visit Moray, a fascinating Inca site with circular terraces once used for agricultural experimentation. Continue to Maras, where thousands of salt pools have been hand-harvested since pre-Inca times.

After a scenic lunch in the valley, explore the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, known for its massive stone terraces and well-preserved Inca architecture.

In the late afternoon, board the train to Aguas Calientes, following the Urubamba River through dramatic Andean landscapes. Arrive at the base of Machu Picchu, ready for tomorrow’s highlight.

Rise early for the moment you’ve been waiting for, a private 2.5 to 3-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu, the crown jewel of the Andes. Set out before dawn for an unforgettable trek to Vinicunca, the legendary Rainbow Mountain. By starting early, you’ll reach the summit before the crowds, giving you a rare and peaceful moment to take in its surreal, mineral-painted slopes in the soft morning light.
