Get to know the sights worth seeing while in Puno, the city next to the highest navigable lake in the world: the Lake Titicaca (3800 m). With this tour, you will explore the floating islands of Uros, the taquile island and you will also do a tour to the unique Sillustani cemetery outside of the city of Puno. The famous Uros Islands are artificial islands made of totora reed growing in the lake. On the Taquile island, you will learn more about its hand-woven textiles, which are famous for their fine quality in the entire country. You will learn even more about the interesting culture that Puno has to offer when visiting the pre-Incan cemetery of Sillustani that consists of various "chullpas". Chullpas are up 12m high tombs where people collected valuable belongings of families, such as gold, silver and even food, in order to immortalise their dead. Get ready to learn more about Peru's fascinating history!

This day trip from Puno starts at 7:00 am visiting the Uros islands. At 9:00 am you will continue your trip for around 2.5 hours to reach the Taquile island, a beautiful natural island. Having arrived, you will start with a 20 minute upward trek from the port to the main plaza. This community dedicates itself to fishing, agriculture, and crafting. They are famous for their textile art, knitting made by men in which they start from an early age. During this tour, you will discover their way of life and enjoy the wonder of beautiful sights.

At 12:00 pm, you will have a typical regional lunch. Afterwards,you will have 40 minutes of free time to discover the island on your own. You can visit the crafting center and take pictures or just enjoy the panoramic sceneries of the island. From the Taquile island, you will be able to see the Amantani island, another beautiful island. Once the visit has ended, you will return to Puno and you'll be dropped of at your hotel.

At 2:00 pm the sightseeing tour to the Sillustani cemetery begins. It is a cemetery where impressive tombs of the Qulla culture can be seen. You will also get to know the Lake Umayo. You will have enough time to take some pictures and to enjoy the views. Around 5:00 pm you will return to your hotel.
