Get to know the best of Cusco, the city of the Incas, and Puno, the city that is home to the Titicaca lake, the highest navigable lake in the world. During your time in Cusco, you will do a sacred valley tour discovering its highlights, such as Pisac, the archaeological site of Moray, the salt mines of Maras and Ollantaytambo. You will also explore Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders in the world. You will be fascinated by this magical place and by your guide who tells you all the details about its discovery and all the historical events related to it. Apart from Machu Picchu, you will also hike the 1-hour Alternative Rainbow Mountain tour in the Andean mountains. While doing this tour, you will be able to enjoy the postcard-like landscape almost for yourselves and you will also see typical wildlife, such as alpacas, llamas and condors. During your time in Puno, you will enjoy an unforgettable lake Titicaca tour to its floating islands, where you will meet a typical local family that will host you for one night. You will get the chance to learn from them first hand what their life is really like. On the second day, you will discover the spectacular Sillustani tombs which are up to 12 m high where people collected the valuable remain of their families in order to immortalise their dead. Enjoy some incredible days in two completely different cities.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 6:30 am before you will head to the town of Pisac to visit one of the most imposing archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here, you can see wonderful architecture and enjoy unique views of the valley from the top. The next stop is the artisan market of Pisac, where you can find typical souvenirs. Afterwards, you will get to know the archaeological site of Moray. Here, you will face a construction that is a clear proof of the extraordinary agricultural progresses that the ancient Peruvians had regarding the management of climates, soils and humidity. The salt mines of Maras, which are not far from Moray, are the next highlight on this tour. Together with your guide, you will enter the mines, learn about its history and have enough time to take some pictures. If you want to, you can buy some of the special salt to take it home and use it for cooking.

Then, you will continue to Urubamba to get some lunch. Once you're ready to go, you will head to Ollantaytambo, a very important temple for the Inca known as "the living city of the Incas". You will explore its ceremonial centres, walk along its narrow paths and find out the history behind it. Now that you have visited the last site of the tour, you can either return tu Cusco with the guide at 5:30 pm, stay in Ollantaytambo or head on to Aguas Calientes. 



You will be picked up at your hotel (for all the hotels close to the Plaza de Armas) 30 minutes before the departure time in Cusco. Then, you will head to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo (1 hour 30 minutes by car) where you will board the train and then make your trip to To the village of "Aguas Calientes" (2000 m) which lasts approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival at the train station, the guide will be waiting for you with a sign and with your names. With him you will go to the bus station, to drive 400 m on a zigzag road for 30 minutes until reaching the incredible Wonder of the world "The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu", known as "The Lost City of the Incas".

When you arrive at the citadel of Machu Picchu, you will pass through the control where you will receive your ticket. From this point on, the guided tour will start and you will visit the main areas of the city such as Main Square, Circular Tower, Sacred Solar Clock, The Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries for more than two hours. At the end, you will have free time to take a walk through the citadel and to visit Machu Picchu. Then, you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes and eat in one of the many restaurants. In the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo (you must arrive at the station 30 minutes before the departure time of your train). When you arrive at the train station in Ollantaytambo, a guide will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour and 30 minutes by car).

Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Cusco at 5:00 am for your Rainbow Mountain trip in a private bus. After a 3-hour shuttle drive to the Ananiso community, passing traditional villages with amazing views of the Andes, valleys, and mountains until reaching the starting point, which is at 4.300 m. You’ll get acquainted with your fellow travelers and stretch your legs while receiving important information from your guide about the schedule and the hike.
Afterwards, the hike will be up for 1 hour along a small path overhanging the Palomino Valley with some lovely views over some of the most beautiful rock formations of the area. At 4.900 m you will explore the area. You will be able to spot much Andean wildlife such as alpacas, llamas, condors (Vulture gryphus) and the rarely seen vicuña (wild llama family).

Upon your arrival at Rainbow Mountain, you will have a great view over the entire region and also of the Ausangate Glacier, which is 6375 m high (21,000ft.).
After a well-deserved break and some energizing snacks, you will have enough time for many photos and breathe the fresh air of the Andes. You will spend about 2 hours at the summit, depending on the weather conditions. You will begin the descent of 20-30 minutes to the starting point where the driver will be waiting for you. After this outstanding day of touring, you will return back to Cusco, in a private bus, getting back at your hotel around 5:30 pm.



You will be picked up at your hotel in Puno at 10:00 am to head towards the Titicaca lake. From here, you will take a fishing boat for aprox. 30 minutes that will take you to the famous floating islands on lake Titicaca. Having arrived at the islands, the local family awaits you already and explains you about their traditions, their constructions and their way of life on the floating islands of Uros.

After lunch, you will go fishing in a typical boat made of totora reef. Afterwards, you will learn how the totora reed is cut and used for building the islands, the boats, handicrafts etc. The inhabitants of the islands will teach you how to make your own handicrafts made of totora reefs. At night, you will have dinner together with the locals and then you will sleep on the floating islands of Uros.



Early in the morning at 7:00 am, you will get out the fishing nets and check the caught native fish fro the Titicaca lake. Next, you will enjoy a typical breakfast and at aprox. 9:00 am you will return to your hotel in the city of Puno.

At 2:00 pm the sightseeing tour to the Sillustani tombs begins. It is a cemetery where impressive tombs of the Qulla culture can be seen. You will also get to know the Lake Umayo. You will have enough time to take some pictures and to enjoy the views. Around 5:00 pm you will return from the Sillustani tombs tour to your hotel.

       Terms of Cancellation:

      • If you booked the tourist train to Machu Picchu it will only be possible to refund 70% if cancelled 1 week before the tour and 50% if it is 5 days before the tour.
      • In case the entrance tickets (Machu Picchu and/or Huayna Picchu) are bought by us already (Tickets that include Huayna Picchu: normally 2 months in advance to avoid booking problems due to the daily Huayna Picchu limit; Machu Picchu: approx. 1 week in advance during low season and 2 weeks during high season), the price of those tickets cannot be returned or claimed.


      • In the case of flight delays, inconveniences with the train schedule or bad weather (rain, landslides, etc.) the provider neither we are not responsible.
