Briefing at 6:00 pm so that you will have the most important information about the trek.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Cusco at 03:00 - 03:30 am and head to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Next, we will take the train to km 104 from where we start the 2-day Inca Trail hiking uphill for around 4 hours until arriving at the archaelogical site of Wiñay Wayna. Here, we will eat our box lunch while enjoying a beautiful view.
Next, we will continue hiking to Inti Punku, the sun gate. From this point, we have an absolutely stunning view of Machu Picchu. This is the perfect place to take some unforgettable photos and it's also the official end of the Inca trail. Afterwards, we will head down to the entrance of Machu Picchu from where we take a bus to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) to spend the night at a hostel.

Today, we will get up early to get to Machu Picchu for the early morning hours before the the big crowds arrive. Here, you will have a 2-hour guided tour visiting the most important sites of the ancient city of the Incas. Afterwards, you can opt to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain but remember that you need to get your tickets weeks in advance. Each hike takes around 3 hours in total and we only recommend it to people that are in a good shape and don't fear heights. In the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then head back to Cusco in a private bus.
